Easy-to-apply, semi-solid, high-strength stick for locking and sealing threaded assemblies permanently - ideal for vertical and overhead applications. Removable with heat.
LOCTITE® 268 is a red, high-strength threadlocker for permanently locking and sealing bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to vibration. The non-drip stick format makes it ideal for vertical and overhead applications. It works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. Cures through most corrsoion prevention oils and cutting fluids on "as-received" fasteners without aggresive cleaning.
- Convenient, non-drip, stick format
- High torque strength
- Prevents fastener loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g., pumps, gear boxes, presses
- Works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates
- Suitable for use on most 'as-received' fasteners without aggressive cleaning
- Can be disassembled by heating to 250°C (482°F)
